Current Mask Policy and Capacity Limits

June 28, 2021: We are increasing store capacity to 5 people at any one time, including workers on shift. Masks are still required in the coop during open shopping hours, for all shiftworkers and shoppers, regardless of vaccination status.

We’ve considered recent guidance from the CDC and the state, vaccination rates and new variants of COVID-19 currently circulating. The New York State Department of Health “strongly recommends that businesses require face coverings and six feet of social distancing in indoor settings where vaccination status of individuals is unknown.”

Rather than ask coop members to verify the vaccination status of everyone coming in the door,  we’re keeping the above mask policy in place, with no exceptions.

We’re also maintaining hand hygiene protocols as a matter of routine.

Curbside pickup and delivery can be arranged as an alternative to shopping in store, by emailing produce@4thstreetfoodcoop.org.

We’ll continue to post further updates. We appreciate everyone’s cooperation and support.

During this public health crisis, the co-op is offering free home delivery for high-risk individuals, including the elderly, pregnant, and immunocompromised. A few of our working members have volunteered to deliver groceries to those who live within a 1-mile radius of the co-op. We are also offering shoppers the option to pre-order groceries for pickup.
