This is a rough compilation of the training info collected at the meeting with Kenny, Elissa, & Obert.

Walkthrough seems to be the favorite training method. From rear to register or the other way around.

We seemed to agree that spending some time (10 mins?) on a few primary topics, and then revisiting them when wrapping up might be productive.

I would propose those be:

  • Shift replacement
    • Not schedulers job
      • While replacement for a single shift isn't her job, should you choose to leave the coop entirely, or become a non-working member, she is responsible for filling the gap in the schedule. If you leave the coop without notifying the scheduler, they're trying to do their job without all the information. It's very unfair. You don't have to explain your reasons, and we can't expect "2 weeks notice", but the scheduler does need to know.
    • Take down #s for neighboring shifts and similar shifts (even giving them a moment to actually enter #s into their phone if they wish)
    • "cooperative" - your work is supporting others. When you don't show, you're impacting others unfairly, and vice-versa.
    • Plan ahead. If you follow religious holidays or always go to florida for spring break, find replacements sooner than later.
  • Sign-in (reference insurance use of signatures, that it's very important for both them and the coop)
  • Talk about follow up and continuity. I can think of a couple examples, but in general, the idea of finishing what you're working on, and if not, communicating it foward.
