Lentil & Wild Rice Dish

1 1/2 cup lentils (bean to water ratio is approx. 1: 2; water can be drained or added easily)

1 1/2 cup wild rice (grain to water ratio is 1: 4)
2 tbsp of finely chopped garlic
1/2 cup chopped onions
1 carrot
At least 2 TBSP olive oil, add more as needed
Salt, pepper, basil, tarragon, curry powder, cumin

Cook green lentils and wild rice in separate pots. Sauté garlic and onions with olive oil in a frying pan or wok. Add cooked lentils and wild rice. Grate carrot and stir into mixture until heated through. Add spices as desired.
